Croatia
In September/October 2024, I embarked on a three-week photography trip to Croatia. If you look at a map, you'll see that Croatia is a long, narrow country stretching along the Adriatic coast, with a northern region extending to the east. My journey focused primarily on the coastal areas.
I planned my route carefully and booked accommodations in four locations, staying between four and seven nights in each. The trip began in Zadar, where I arrived after flying into Split and picking up my rental car. From there, I headed north to Pazin on the Istrian peninsula, continued on to Plitvice Lakes, and finally spent the last week in Split. Over the course of the trip, I covered about 2,300 km.
I had a pre-planned list of subjects to photograph at each destination, but my schedule was flexible enough to allow me to enjoy the pleasant weather and delicious local cuisine 😊.
I returned with a collection of several thousand photos, with more than half featuring the stunning waterfalls in Croatia's various national parks. While I'm still processing some of the images, I've shared a representative selection in the gallery below for you to explore.
