82 imagesIn September/October 2024, I embarked on a three-week photography trip to Croatia. If you look at a map, you'll see that Croatia is a long, narrow country stretching along the Adriatic coast, with a northern region extending to the east. My journey focused primarily on the coastal areas. I planned my route carefully and booked accommodations in four locations, staying between four and seven nights in each. The trip began in Zadar, where I arrived after flying into Split and picking up my rental car. From there, I headed north to Pazin on the Istrian peninsula, continued on to Plitvice Lakes, and finally spent the last week in Split. Over the course of the trip, I covered about 2,300 km. I had a pre-planned list of subjects to photograph at each destination, but my schedule was flexible enough to allow me to enjoy the pleasant weather and delicious local cuisine 😊. I returned with a collection of several thousand photos, with more than half featuring the stunning waterfalls in Croatia's various national parks. While I'm still processing some of the images, I've shared a representative selection in the gallery below for you to explore.

33 imagesAfter reading Simon McCleave’s series of books about the Snowdonia killings (18 books), I decided to travel to the North of Wales. It wasn’t because of the killings, but because of the long and eloquent descriptions of the magnificent landscapes of Snowdonia, which served as background for the stories in all the books. I started researching the trip at the end of April 2023. In three months, I had a meticulous plan with more than 30 shooting locations. Each location with exact coordinates, preferable time of day for the correct direction and position of the sun and all other necessary information. On August 28th I flew to Birmingham and continued by car to Careau Gardens, where I stayed in the Pigsty – an Airbnb, hosted by Toby and Stephanie (see last pictures). I returned home on September 9. Here you can see some of the beautiful shots I took there.

40 imagesI spent two interesting photography weeks in Slovenia (30/04 – 13/05/2024). I had meticulously planned the trip to include about thirty shooting locations. I prepared a prioritized list of the locations, detailing time of day, planned date and equipment needed for each one. Obviously, I had also planned for some rainy days when I would not be able to shoot. However, the weather wasn’t playing nice, and I had a lot more rain than planned for. Still, by juggling the schedule, I managed about twenty of the planned locations and a few unplanned ones 😊. I drove about 2000 km in the whole western part of Slovenia. My base was in Bled, except for two nights in Piran on the coast near Trieste. This gallery includes some of the many pictures that I shot during these two weeks.
